Upcoming Activities
Annual Meetings
The Annual Meeting and Convocation is held in the fall of
the year, immediately prior to the annual meeting of the American Dental
Association. Annual Meeting events include symposia and keynote
presentations, special leadership and related training sessions, the
College business meeting, the Convocation for conferring Fellowship and
honoring award recipients, and special luncheon and dinner dance
functions.
ACD 2009 Annual Meeting
 September 30 to October 1, 2009
The 2009 annual meeting of the American College of
Dentists is a celebration of leadership in dentistry today and
tomorrow. ACD 2009 is an opportunity for Fellows and guests to expand
their knowledge and skills—through interactive workshops and an
exciting keynote presentation—to meet their colleagues and renew
friendships.
Join your colleagues in Honolulu for a most
stimulating meeting. Make a point of attending the LeaderSkills
workshops, the Regency Meetings, outstanding presentations, and our
Convocation and Dinner Dance.
The hotel has not been finalized.

Workshops
For the leaders of today and tomorrow, these
interactive sessions will enhance your skills and knowledge in key
areas. Due to space limitations, advance sign-up is required. Indicate
your session choices. Every effort will be made to accommodate your choices.
There is no charge for ACD Fellows/Candidates; spouses/guests may
attend for a fee of $15 each.
Morning presentation:

Fellows Forum
The Section Achievement Award and Section Newsletter
Awards are presented at the Fellows Forum along with brief updates of
College activities. This is an opportunity for Fellows and
prospective Fellows to meet their Regents and become more involved in
the College. The Fellows Forum begins at 3:15 p.m.
Meet
& Greet
The Meet & Greet (cash bar) is an excellent time
to meet and welcome new Fellows and renew old acquaintances.
Meet & Greet takes place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. immediately after
the Regency breakout meetings.

welcomes its new Fellows and honors special award winners. The Convocation speaker is TBD.

Silent Auction
Don't miss your chance to bid on vacation adventures,
vintage wines, dental supplies, collectibles and more during the ACD
Foundation's silent auction. Proceeds directly support the continuing
education fund of the Foundation. Your participation is vital to
continue the exciting new directions of the ACD.
Meal
Functions
We will offer two meal functions in conjunction with
ACD 2009 on Thursday, October 1st.
Tickets must be purchased in advance for all meal
events. New Fellows being inducted in Honolulu will receive one lunch, and two dinner dance tickets compliments of the
ACD.
All dinner dance tables are reserved. We will attempt to seat all Fellows by their Section unless directed otherwise. If you wish to sit with specific Fellows/guests, please include payment for all persons with whom you wish to sit. Every effort
will be made to accommodate your request. Each table is limited to ten
(10) people without exception.
Tickets may be picked up at the ACD Registration Desk before noon on
Thursday, October 1st. If this is not possible, tickets may be picked
up Thursday evening after 7:00 p.m.
Cancellations and refunds: All refunds will be subject to a 10%
processing fee. No refunds will be issued after September 1st. Please
allow eight (8) weeks for processing.
Complete the meal function portion of the registration form to order
your tickets.

Miscellaneous Activities
Miscellaneous activities of the American College of Dentists will be
reported here when appropriate. The American College of Dentists
periodically sponsors special conferences on topics of current relevance
to Fellows, the dental profession, and oral health.
